We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering with hands-on experience in PLC, SCADA, and automation systems, particularly in packaging industries. Experience in induction packaging automation will be considered a significant advantage.

Responsibilities:
  • Work on fast-paced, collaborative, agile teams to build and enhance a growing software platform together.
  • Be responsible for end-to-end feature releases and platform enhancements delivered by the team.
  • Actively support the technical design process, bringing your expertise and analysis to help make data-driven decisions.
  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for various processes in the beverage processing plant, with a focus on packaging lines.
  • Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation of equipment.
  • Develop HMI (Human-Machine Interface) screens using SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) software to provide real-time monitoring and control of manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, operations, and engineering to identify automation opportunities and optimize production workflows.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and performance tuning of automation systems to minimize downtime and improve overall efficiency.
  • Stay updated with emerging automation technologies and best practices in the beverage processing industry, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance productivity and safety.
  • Provide technical support and training to plant personnel on the operation and maintenance of automation equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies in all automation-related activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the software development lifecycle required.
  • Experience working on software development teams, building and deploying full-stack web applications.
  • You can collaborate closely with teammates in product and design to build applications providing healthcare practitioners with the highest quality user experience.
  • You are passionate about building quality products and want to own product development end-to-end, with excellent design and development standards.
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable data services and APIs.
  • Experience building applications using Java, Javascript, Typescript, and React.
  • Experience with CI/CD with GitHub Actions workflow.
  • You have experience with common software development practices such as version control, and unit testing.
  • Prior experience setting up automation frameworks for UI as well as API testing from the ground up.
  • You are a team player and are interested in working at a fast-paced startup environment.
